NO! I went expecting to see it, b/c hell, the L.A. Auto show is supposed to be BIG! But no go. I asked one of the "Ford Information" workers, "Where can I see a 2001 Lightning?", he told me to go to Detroit. I shoulda told HIM where to go! But I said thank you and walked away.
Oh, and this is the SECOND Auto show I went to expecting to see the new L, and didn't. I think I should call and talk to Ford SVT.

No SVTs from Ford, only some concept cars (and the usual), also saw the Bullitt Mustang.
However I talked to one of the Roush Reps who seemed to know a little about the Lightnings, but he sounded too much like a salesman so maybe it's just BS:
- All 2001 parts will be available within 6 months.
- The 99s and 2000s have the same potential.
- They know the Lightning still has a good 40HP left with the current setup.
- No knowledge of intercooler leak.

I am flabbergasted. They had a 2000 L. at the show last year, I can't imagine why they don't have an '01 at this year's show. I sure wanted to talk to an SVT rep about my intercooler, but if there are no SVT vehicles there, I guess there won't be any SVT reps. Maybe they are too embarrassed to confront the buyers.
