I am in the market for a 99 or 00 L.......what do you think is a reasonable price for these trucks??? and secondly...what are the problems occuring with the new trucks i should be concerned with when purchasing a 2nd gen L????

red 1994 lightning....oh my god i never expected this thing to keep running this long......130,000 miles and still running strong.........

 

The best I've heard is a dealer around here with one(99?) that has 6k miles for $24k. Hell, my dealer gave me $25k on my 12k mile '99 as a trade-in on my A-plan '00($26k and some chang out the door).

I am not too sure a good price for a used one but depending on miles and I would say 26,000 and up. They really seem to hold their value well. The problems I have heard the most about is the infamous "clunk", and more notably the intercooler problems. Use the "search" feature on this board and you will find out everything you wanted to know about these problems.

You can Check www.kbb.com they say you can sell a 1999 for $37,000 I asked them if they wanted to buy mine. No answer wonder why????

Kelly Blue book for a '99 was at one time 38,600, but that is seriously warped, I'd say 26-28 is about right.

There is a new 00 White L in southern indiana . at Ruxer Ford they are asking $27,500. I bought mine from them. Go to Ruxer.com ,then call them and ask for Gary if your interested.

I just purchased my Lightning last week. I found a 2000 Black one that had 2k miles for $25,000. Had to jump on it, and I'm so glad I did.

hey I'm new to this board. I just wanted to say damn those prices are great where I live in southern Cal used Lightnings are going for 34k-36k used. I can't find one under 33k
