Thumbs down I saw a very scary Lightning this evening.

I had dinner at Dino's in Pasadena. I hope this Bolt didn't belong to anyone on this board. It was black with a CAMPER SHELL! Please, I beg you all...do not put a camper shell on your Lightning. It just isn't right.

All camper shells are not what they appear to be. Think of a LOVE PALACE on wheels...

Think of a wet bar...

Think of fine music...

Think of taking your desires wherever you go...

Think of a redhead at Huntington Beach on a Sunday afternoon who says, NOW...

Think of a two seater cab...

And think of a king size bed...

...and forgive the guy with the cabover...

OK?

Cool

What in the name of sweet Jesus is a colperate? Glad to see that the taste police are alive and well. I considered capping mine but after I aborted the X-country trip decided that it wasn't necessary and truck was more functional without it. It is a freakin' truck, not a museum piece, and my only concern is functionality, everything else is secondary. However, since one of my truck's prime functions is whuppin' L bodies, the extra weight of a cap would detract from it.

Cool

I love a little controversy. I'm sure some of you might get something out of a camper shell, but this Lightning looked like a hearse!

It will be a cold day in hell before I put a camper shell on any truck I buy. If you want that look buy a expedition, or a van.

There's a 1999 White L with a camper back in Dallas. See it all the time. It's not bad looking, just something that I wouldn't do.

I live in NJ, and a couple towns away from me, there is a guy who has a silver 2000 lightning with a cap on it. my brother had seen it one day and he came and told me about it, he said it looked horrible. so i just had to drive by the guys house and see it, sure enough there it was. i was figuring my brother saw a regular f150 and not a lightning, but he knows a lightning when he sees one. anyway, there is was,it looked horrible. in my oppinion, if u have any intentions of getting a cap for your truck, you should do it to a regular f150, not a beautiful, limited edition lightning. well, i wouldnt do it, if i had a lightning. this guy was using the truck for work, he had wood and all sorts of crap hanging out the back of it. i couldnt get over that someone would buy a limited editin vehicle that is so nice looking and want to use it for work. oh well, to each his own. later all Mike : )

I think that I'd like one of them there camper tops. Do you dudes think, gosh what I mean to say is does anyone know where I could get one with a spoiler on top to control the air flow. I sure would like one of those BA wings that some of the dudes have on there "L".
