30 inch Hoosier slick question.....

If u look on jegs' website, you will notice they list two types of 30 inch slicks that us lightning guys usually run. One is a C07 compound the other is the D05?? What the hell is the difference? I have ran the C07 every year I have needed slicks but does anyone run the D05's??

As far as I can tell the only real difference is that the D05 weighs in at 22 lbs 2 lbs lighter than the C07 and is wider secional width by ~2".

D stands for DOT approved
C stands for competition
and as far as the numbers go 5 is softer than the 7, but will wear faster.

hope this helps
