Hey guys,
Just took delivery of '01 F350 w/ the 5.4. The engine oil fill cap is clearly marked "5W-20 oil only". The 00 L requires 5W-30, which I thought was thin but I've never seen 5W-20. This stuff must pour like water. Has anyone seen this weight oil available?

Ford changed their specs for most of the '01 MY gas engines to the 5w20 spec. I have seen it at the parts stores around here (Pep boys, Murrays)

 

Hey Guy,
I can believe this change because my oil guage show 90-95 psi at start. Man that's a lot of pressure. thinner has to help on the cold starts.
