Question fog light question

I want to run the fog lights when ever I want to. I have checked the FAQ and mine is a 99. I have already ground down the slot in the switch but no fog lights. What's next?? Help!

Cool

redrocket-
I did this about 9 months ago on my RED 1999. Actually very simple if you have a dremel tool. You have to grind down BOTH steps of the switch. You can see these by rotating the switch. It was eaiser by drilling 2 holes (one on each side of the switch) large enough tom get the dremel tool inside to grind down the 4 steps. Then test the fog lamp switch by pulling it up in different positions to make sure it work.
Connect a jumper wire from the black and white stripped wire from the auto headlights to the brown wire(with scotch-locks) fog lamps.
I believe this activates the fog light relay to activate the fog lamps.

The fog lights will work with the park lamps, headlights and auto lamps.
Mines been fine for 9 months and I run them with the park lamps when ever the my Lightning is running.
Hope this helps?

Have you wired your tail lights for 4 bulbs yet? Right now you only have 4 tail and 2 brake lights. Makes a world of difference when you brake.

Red,

Doug has a how-to on this subject over at svtlightnings.com

It's well done and would probably answer your questions.
