Anyone purchased a factory service manual?
I'd like to purchase a factory service manual for my Lightning. I looked at the Helm Automotive website and they only have manuals for the standard pickups and they do not show one for the Lightning. Does anyone know if a factory service manual is available, if so, where can I obtain one?

Got mine on CD about a month ago from Helm. I regret buying the CD-wish I would have got the real book. The pictures are not very good on sreen and its still hard to read when you print it out.

My wife got me one for Christmas. It consisted of a 2000 F-150 workshop manual (2 volumes, each about 3" thick) & a 1999.5 Lightning/Thunderbolt supplement (about 1/2" thick). She ordered it through Helm by phone--$206.50 delivered.

The standard F150 shop manuals have the Lightning info in them. Don't get the $6 SVT supplement, that turned out to be the L owners manual booklet. I got mine from Helm ($260 I think) but I've heard of people getting it on CD for dirt cheap on eBay.

Lightning/thunderbolt Supplement part #FCS-12272-99-S. Ask for customer service because it is not a normal order. Tell them you know it has to be a hand written order. Good luck most of the people that answer the phones don't know about it. Steve
