Maybe the reason that I don't understand what you're asking is because I'm an unfrozen caveman lawyer, but what exactly is a Lo-Pro? (bedcover, tires etc.?)

I'm guessing that any added weight will reduce your ET time in a 1/4 mile, but not greatly enough that you'll PHYSICALLY notice the reduction. You can probably easily compensate the added wieght of this bed cover, by removing your trailor hitch, and or your spare tire. One thing a bed cover does have over, not having one, is the areodynamics. Personally, I like the bed cover Johnny Lightning has on his L. That's what I'll be getting!

Did you guys happen to check WCFan's profile? I wouldn’t be surprised if WCFan is also a fan of PT Barnum .

I never ran before I had a cover, but I recently ran a 13.69 @101.56 with a bone stock (perf.-wise) L with a heavy-a** ARE cover w/wing and a BedRug.
I think this is still as fast or faster in some cases than other stock trucks with or without covers.

My first picture post, hope it works. I have seen no difference in performance since the installation of the lo-pro. It is about as light a hard cover as you can purchase. The quality is excellent and it can be very easily removed if you have the need. I liked the look (low profile and rails exposed for some contrast) is the reason I went with it.

I doubt you'll be able to notice any difference with or without the cover due to the wind resistance. Even with the tailgate down or off you'll still get more resistance than a good cover. I don't have a trailer hitch so the cover kinda makes up for it and reduces drag at the same time. Just my thought anyway.

I like the look of the lo-pro on your truck. I have the ARE and sometimes I wish I had went with a "lower" style.
Oh well, costs too much to change now......
BTW, some of us in NC have been to open day at Rockingham, will probably be getting together again next year..You interested in meeting up with other L's?

Thanks, Lightstruck, Yeah I would like to meet some other L owners. However, The Rock is probably a 4-5 hr. drive. Let me know and maybe I will try to get there.

Thumbs up

WCFan-
I run a A.R.E II w/wing (approximately same weight as spare, trailer hitch and soft cover) but weight is over rear axle.
I have tested, with the lid, both on and off. With the lid off I lose .14 tenths on my 60 ft but gain .14 on the high end. It's exactly opposite with the lid on. I would rather gain on my 60ft (traction) to get these heavy mothers moving. IMHO.
The moral of this story is trade off.
