Lightning dedication
Last sunday we had a very bad rain storm. It was 50 degrees so i decided to completly clean the undercarriage of my bolt before it cooled off the next day.Yes this is all out in the rain.I got the drivers side done and it started "Lightning" and thundering out.No PUN intended. It was really messy out. when the Lightnings started,I decided to go inside befor i got struck.I left my lightning out in my driveway with the driverside uncompleted and on 2 ford factory jacks. At 10 at night I heard some really bad gust of wind and the temp dropped to 20 degrees.I went out and put my wheels back on with 2 lug nuts.the next day was bright and sunny and was barley topping 20 degrees.I went out and finished washing the whole undercarriage and polishing my tips and cleaning the truck up and down so it is all done for winter. The truck has not and will not leave the driveway till spring. My undercarriage still looks brand new and always will. I love my truck.
This is called Lightning dedication. My wife could have been holding a bucket of gold and I would not have gone out in that weather.

I cannot see anybody as picky as me when it comes to my Lightning. If you have or have similar story please post

'Quick:
I feel your pain. Mine is ALWAYS absolutely spotless, but I must admit that I've never jacked it up and scrubbed underneath. You are a role model to all of us "retentives". I consider myself a wannabee at this point.
I took delivery of mine in late May 2000. It is now in the garage, has been since mid-November, and will remain ensconced thusly until late February or early March. I have 2019 miles on the odometer, with 2019 of those accumulated in pleasurable pursuits (pedal to the floor and blower screaming) and ZERO accumulated hauling my dirty carcass to work or grocery-getting (what a waste).
I have the full factory fill in my wiper fluid reservoir (never engaged, never will be). Can you top that? Every metallic piece under the hood is waxed with liquid carnauba.
My garage is heated and I've been spending the winter, thus far, furiously detailing the beast. Pretty wicked wax job at this point. It's sickening to look at the salt-caked Benz in the other bay (wife's daily driver). You just ca't scrub off salt when it's 8 degrees out (like it is right now). That's killing me.

I had to check my resovior. It is at 75%.I dont ever remember using it though?
there is one problem.the sticky middle of the frame ,you cannot clean.Mine has a little dirt stuck to it.a "NORMAL" person would never see it.I am far from normal as so many of you have pointed out in past post
Even the back sides of the wheels are like brand new. They are pretty easy cleaning on the factory coating. The chrome back takes a little scrubbing. If i had a garage,I would be dangerous!Next year i hope
The next warm day,I am going to laminate the SVT sticker on the control arm,The bright green SVT sticker on the frameNo,I am not kidding.I cant say that the rubber ***** on the tires are still there.Actually,There is not much rubber left at all.I only have 10k on it and is driven pretty easy other than the track and a few occasions when I felt the need to show a few lookers. You know the times when the is a car behind you filled with teens wondering if it really is a Lightning or not.By the time the smoke has cleared,I think they realize its the real thing.
One day at band camp,I stuck a flute in my console

Don't forget the stickers on the springs!!
BTW--I haven't used windshield wipers or washer in about 5 years. Rain-X must be one of man's greatest discoveries.
I too wish I had a nice heated, dry garage to work in...that would be great!!!
