Post Ford issues warning!

I'm sitting here, TV is on financial channel, and they're talking about Ford issuing a financial warning, profits are below forcasted, times are tough.....
They must not have figured in the $4grand+ the dealer made from me buying at sticker.
Gotta feel sorry for em!

Unhappy

Economy is slowing and profits are shrinking but I still think Ford is better off than their competitors. I just read somewhere(here?) a summation: Ford makes money selling cars, GM makes money financing cars, and D/Chrysler makes money when it can.

2001 is projected to be a much slower year for auto sales. I read somewhere recently that Ford has about $26 billion cash on hand. I think they are in a pretty good position to weather any downturns.

You would think Ford could afford to get my Intercooler fixed so I don't have to live with this the life of the Truck.

Ford is making about 8,000 profit on every Explorer and probably similar coin on our trucks. Let's hope Ford copes with this by lowering the sticker and the dealers follow suit.

I read where Ford makes $10,000 PROFIT on every Excursion they sell! I'm feeling real sorry for 'em. Guess they will up the prices a little more to make up for it all.

Ford has predicted that even after the Firestone deal, that they will have another RECORD year. With the economy slowing, they are going to idle 16 plants in January for 2 weeks! Maybe they could make some intercoolers for us then!
