I went from a 13.89@99 to a 13.603@101 by just taking my muffler off.

After 60' differences I still lost .21 seconds in overall ET, and averaged .2 better all day long compared to with the muffler in place.

Not to mention the more agressive/intimidating sound...

Ok Listen up closly!!!!!!!

This issue has been brought up time and time again. There is NO proof or claims by anyone with any kind of aftermarket exhaust that it is giving better performance at all!Yes the companys claim but with absolutly NO TRACK TIME IMPROVEMENTS!!! YES THOSE ARE CAPS ON PURPOSE

Many people have tried many different exhaust systems with little or no sound change also.Ther are a few which give a nicer tone but not hardly worth any amount of money.

LISTEN UP!!!!

You want better performance???? There is ONLY one way. Strait pipes!! Take of your muffler and run strait pipes.Anybody who has done this has gotten 2 tenths off their time at the track Me included.Sounds loud with a hefty tone but not at all intolerable.

This is the ONLY cost effective or non cost effective to get a quicker Lightning by exhaust.

RIGHT ON TUNDRA!!

Question Stock Cat-Pipe

Has anyone just replaced the stock cat-pipe on their L with a Bassani piece? I am curious where the most "bang for the buck" is in the exhaust. My Gen I responded with 12-14 rwhp with just and off-road cat-pipe from Bassani! Any one have their stock cat-pipe that they want to sell, I'm in Montana and emissions aren't a concern. I'm looking into making an "off road" pipe for "racing only"......he he.
