I'm a dumb***!!

ok so i saw this white ford lightning 01, i wanted it soo bad, so i asked my dad if i could get it, he said yes but he would only pay 16k and it was 26k, this thing had all the goodies, 20" custom rims, KB swap, intake, exhaust, mass airflow, retractable bedliner, professionaly tuned, 13,000 miles i think, lowered, suspension upgrades, ran in the mid 12's, no damage scratches, totally custom sound system, and more that i can't think of, but no my stupid self was like, im out of this house in a few months so i don't want to owe you 10k plus insurance, so i did not get it, later that month i was on the road in my current truck (which i still love) and long behold there it is, at the light opposite of me, the light turned green and i started to cry cause the thing sounded so nice and then it was gone, i don't know if any of you guys own this truck but i sure wish i did, now that i want something fast, but i do love off-roading in my FX4, something the lightning wouldn't be able to do

i thought i would share

I wish I could go to see my parents and have my dad offer to give me 16k for a truck. I wish I could go back about 10 years and live in the parents house and have them cook for me and pamper me...must be nice

MrSquirrel, hit me up at c.crick@mchsi.com I've got a 2001 White L I'd be willing to sell to you. Doesnt' quite have all those goodies, but does very well for a 6# lower and dyno tune. Also, not sure where at in FL you are, but I am in North AL.

to be honest I would rather buy a truck 100% stock espicially if it had 13,000 miles. Its fun picking out exactly which mods you want if you have the cash to throw around. Ive put about 7k into my truck in mods so far and I still have a long way to go

Just remember....every squirrel will find a nut eventually.

When you are ready to buy a L, just make sure not to grab the first one you come across. There are good deals to be had if you have the patience to find one with the color+mods that you really want. Good luck!

I remember when I was looking into buying a new body style F150, the one I actually bought was sitting beside a Sonic Blue 04 lightning. I took the Lightning for a spin, but I just really wanted a new body style truck.

I've been regretting it EVERY day since.

I ended up with this though. I'm mostly happy now. But I cant help think what could have been.

I agree, I need 4x4, so I never went the route of an L, but I would sure love to be able to afford one of them as a second truck! Them thangs are beautiful!

no thanks but thanks for the offer, im out of the house in like a month and my money wire to my parents will be canceled soon, so i will keep my truck and wait(hopefully) for the new F-150 reg cab with a 6.2L Boss, then i could work with that to make it fast, because if they ever do come out with a new L it will be more like 40-45k and there's no way in hell i could afford that, thats even if all this happens, if not i will go with a mustang for performance, oh and to that person that said kids and horsepower don't mix, well too bad we are old enough to go to war, and by that they mix us so called "kids" with guns
oh and squirrels are hilarious
