Pinion Angle, IM SO CONFUSED!!!

So ive been searching like crazy and i cant figure it out. When im measuring the rear and driveshaft, the pinion measured on the flange with the driveshaft removed is -3 degrees pointing down towards the ground. The driveshaft is 2 degrees going up towards the tranny. What is my "Pinion Angle"? Is it just the angle of the pinion or a mix of the two? my L is stock springed in the front and shackled, one leaf removed, roll pan, lighter hitch, and no spare tire in the rear. Please help... I have a headache

I take the reading at the flange on the Pinion. -3 IMO is good. I am running about -3.5 in mine

Something like this
