SCT Files, chip to xcal?

If I have the new SCT software chip, and decided to go to an xcal II, would my tuner be able to send me those same exact files that are on my chip to put on my xcal?

I suppose he could but I wouldn't want him to.
The Xcal2 offers far more tuning ability than the old chip technology.
There are far more paramaters that can be opened if you will.
The tuning can be greatly more refined with the XCal2's.

I beleve the SCT chip and the Xcal II are actually 2 different companies, call one of the tuners for the real answer.

Whoa, apply brakes on this thread fast .

Okay...

It's the same exact file for a chip or Xcal. All a tuner has to do to e-mail it to you for an Xcal, is convert it to .xtr or .ll3 format and send it to you, and that takes two mouse clicks.

There is nothing an Xcal tune can do that a chip tune can't. It's the same exact tune. Of course, you can make changes to the tune with a flash tuner, but the basic custom tune is identical.

The SCT chip and Xcal are both SCT. Same thing. If the chip says "Superchips" as opposed to "SCT", that's a different company.

Hope this helps.
