Lightbulb First schceduled Check up?

I have about 6500 miles on my L, and was wondering when i should take it to ford. This is prob. a dumb question but with all of the problems that i am reading about I think that I should take it in. Also has anyone run into any problems with their warrantys with ford? I might have a problem with my brakes and was wondering if they are gonna take it out of my pocket, i bought my truck the 1st of august so the warranty should have no problems, right?

thanks alot

So the problem you have with your brakes wouldn't have anything to do with that monster burnout you did at the truck show, would it?

I've said it here before, and I’ll say it again. The problem with this country is we have a system that encourages people to blame others for their woes. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS!
Don’t even ask Ford to fix your brakes without expecting to pay! Even a high school freshman physics student knows that the back brakes will never wear out before the front unless there is either abuse or some serious defect. You abused your L (your right to do so), but with abuse comes RISK and RESPONSIBILITY.

If you are going to play these games, keep it to yourself and your God. Myself and millions of others don’t need to know how unethical you are.

This is different than someone having a seat wear problem and they remove their filter kit so as to not get hassled by the dealer. The two have nothing in common.

Done venting……..

Yes,clean the rubber off the underside,go to ford, tell them to fix it!They will unless its a tough dealership.

People like joe are just seem mad at the world.Im sure some of his sayings are"why isnt life fair?","why me",my opinion is god"My burger doent look like the one on TV".

try to get what ever you can out of Ford. They made plenty.

Take offense or not,Joe, you are a Jackass.

the only thing myself and joe have "in Common" is a pillow. He bites them, and I sleep on them.People like you really get on my nerves with all of you morals!

Let the flames begin!

There's really nothing quite as stupid as a burnout. I mean, why? Tires for these trucks costs way too much for me to do it. The only thing dumber than a burnout is that whole pillow biting comment. I'd rather put power on display by educating the great unwashed Chevrolet masses between stoplights.

Wink

actually, your first scheduled check up at the dealer, should be for the intercooler leak. other than that, do it yourself or have a qualified mechanic do it and pay for it. other than that all i can add to this thread is a quote:

Do you know what my passion is?... Working with retards. I love those goofy bastards."

Gotta weigh in with you on this one JoeLightning. Different people have different codes of conduct. Hey SnatchBlown, the only thing dumber (your word)than your question is the ford dealer that fixes your brakes under warranty! No harm in trying! Let us know how you make out! Hey, if you can't get Ford to pop for the brakes, maybe you can market your burnout pics; bet there are lots of takers for those flames!

Ray, we’ve actually exchanged posts before. Remember back when it was poor ol’ BASVT whining and I posted this:

(from https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/001278.html )
Integrity: You either have it or you don't. There are no colors of gray.
Respect: You can never go wrong if you respect other people and their property. This could also be called 'the golden rule'. It's that simple.
I will not miss BASVT as he rarely displayed either.

Whenever I read something you post I consider the source: a stereotypical USED CAR SALESMAN trying to get ahead by screwing the other guy.

SnatchblownV8,
Well, lets see here, if Clinton did not take responsibility for his own actions, why should you right? It's the democratic way, get someone else to pull your weight. Put the blame on Ford for building such a POS rear brake system that it cant handle being lit up in flames. You bet, take it in for warranty. Give me a break, why did you even bother to write a post questioning what you should do?

Lightningquick,
"try to get what ever you can out of Ford. They made plenty". It's funny I used to get that type of response years ago from people when I had some inexpensive rental homes. They would not pay rent and then tell me that its no big deal, that I make too much money anyhow. I don't get where people like that get that kind of GORE mentality. It's funny, you say people like Joelightning are mad at the world--I think you missed the boat, its ****** that is trying to screw Ford and get a free ride. And I seriously don't think a highly educated person such as Joelightning was dropped on his head as a baby for having a attitude in life that people should be responsible for their own actions. Ray, maybe you should move to Florida and join the ranks of Jesse Jackson!

Joelightning,

Oh boy, I wonder how bad we are gonna be flamed from others from these posts! I agree with your opinion on this one.

This was just a wrong time for someone to post a gimme gimme gimme attitude post.
