Post More Torque Specs

Anyone know the torque specs for the rear spring shackles? How about for the front uper ball joints? Just got a set of Eibach front springs and AIM shackles (thank you PBGas) and want to get them in.
Thanks.

I just got back from the local ford dealership. I am dropping mine too (starting today) and was buying upper control arm alignment bolts & cams. Thought I would save some (paid labor time) by putting these in while I had everything apart.
Anyway, I asked about some torque specs for you & myself. The answer I got was "no more than 110 ft-lbs. on the ball joints and no more than 45 ft.-lbs. on sway bar end links". I hope this helps...

I forgot to ask about shackle torque, but when I did mine I tightened to 75-80 ft-lbs. I'm pretty sure there a thread somewhere that tells "exacts", but I believe this was real close. I'll do a search on "torque", if I find anything else, I'll edit this.
If anyone else knows where this is, or has add'l info, please help.

Unhappy

LightStruck,
Thanks. Just got in from the garage. Couldn't separate the upper ball joint from the spindle (limited tools, didn't want to hammer the snot out of the ball joint stud) so its off to a front end shop. Was surprised at how easy it was to get the front end prepped for the spring removal. Even at my inexperienced snail's pace, was down to the ball joint in about 25 minutes. Rear shackles were very easy. Was surprised when I took off my front wheels. Changed over to snows about 3 weeks ago, never bothered to retorque lug nuts. Didn't measure, but they definitely didn't feel like 150 ft/lbs. Good idea to recheck (mentioned in a previous post).

ED the way to get the balljoint loose is to back the nut off two or three turns and hit the spidle casting not the nut with a good size hammer works every time for me...

Both the spring-to-shackle and shackle-to-hanger bolts s/b torqued to 73-97 lb-ft.
