why couldnt this be the gen 3????

i know the foose truck pics were posted here already,so im not gonna bother posting more .but i just seen this truck at the ny auto show.i dont understand why they needed foose to do this.why couldnt they do this to a short bed reg cab 2wd truck ? its got a eibach suspension, intercooled super charger 450 hp,22 inch wheels and bam 08 gen 3.at least they could have put the s/c on the harley trucks again? i dont get it. also they had the hood closed ,but online pics are showing a saleen s/c on the truck, meanwhile ford has a ford racing whipple in their catalog for these trucks.not to put down foose or shelby but i couldnt give a rats azz about having thier names on my car or truck especially with the 15k dealer mark ups, which is probably gonna happen with this foose truck since they are only making 500 of them.
sorry for the rant i just had it with ford and azz backward marketing.

Thank god they're only making 500 of them, the name "foose" sounds totally....ghey. SVT Lightning is the only way I'm rollin'. At least we have enough trucks to have a strong and healthy community. I'll drive a SRT-10 before something with the name "foose", lol. I'll gladly wait till what I want, the official well known Ford sport truck comes out. Ya, the 15k markup on the Shelby...SVT...Cobra...Mustang...whatever it really is, lol, sucks. I might take one right now for MSRP (I'd still have to put 8 or 9000 down to afford the payment). Well I'm glad Ford has a hot item there with the Shelby, if I had to replace the Lightning with anything it would be it, but the way SVT was in the past with making great performing and looking vehicles affordable for the working class like me was the way to go IMO.

Ya I agree with S/C'd Harley. I wouldn't own a Harley truck unless it was one of the years with the Lightning motor (I actually almost bought one over the Lightning). When I wrecked my 03 Lightning, I looked at the brand new Harley and IMO it's junk compared to the 2003 Harley...so..I had to buy used to get what I wanted. Hopefully a new Lightning will come out at some point along with another performance Harley truck.

sorry to say but i highly doubt you'll be seeing another SVT product. with companies like Foose, Shelby, Saleen and Roush why would Ford spend the money.

The local Ford dealer near me is selling the Gen 3 Lightning package as he calls it. It is supposed to be an exact replica of the concept Gen 3. I looked at one recently at a car show here in town and it looks real nice. It carries a sticker price of 56k.

just FYI guys....you can now order a 2007 HD F150 with a saleen supercharger, its a $6500 option and keeps the 3/36000 mile warranty.

the foose truck is just one of many limited production fords that the average joe wont be able to afford due to "dealer markups"

Gay Bill destroyed Ford and they walked away from Performance during the biggest performance BOOM in car history, the Saleen Truck is overpriced and embarrassingly slow for the HP and TQ, and he prob picked Foose because of the gay thing

Hey Wanna talk about our President now

That's exactly why Ford scrapped the gen 3 L. The new truck was so much heavier that it would have taken 500 HP just to equal the GEN 2. Sound familiar (DODGE SRT-10), big HP too much weight = slow truck. Sucked for us L lovers, but I'm sure DODGE and CHEVY loved the loss of competition. I still have my 2005 ext. cab F-150, and even with its 300 HP motor, it's still slower than the previous models 260 HP 5.4 due to the extra weight.

And that's why the Lightning was the best all-around package.

As far as weight goes, keep in mind the new Saleen Trucks are Extended Cabs and did not start their life as a "BASE" model truck like the Lightnings were. So yeah they are heavy trucks.
