uhhh...it's 378 million, Canadian.

 

It's all about supply and demand. There are a lot of CEOs that aren't worth that, either. Once the general public stops turning on the TV or going to these games or buying the products that are advertised during the games...the players will be worth nickels and dimes.

Wes is right that it's supply and demand, but it's still disgusting. A quarter of a billion dollars to play a game to entertain people is just unfathomable.

I guess when you look at how much money the city will make from it, its worth it. Remember the greatest basketball player of all time, Yeah Jordan from the BULLS. The city used to make so much money everytime he would play that it was worth to pay him that much. Now is this guy worth more then Jordan, I sure don't think so. I don't think there's anybody out there in sports that was as entertaining to watch as Jordan. But if thats what they want to pay him, thats there own fault.

Personally you would have to pay me like 20 million a year to play, HAHAHA I wish.

 

I haven't been keeping up with sports much, who is getting paid this extremely outrageous salary? I hope it isn't a baseball player, that isn't even a sport IMHO.

I don't understand Texas GM Doug Melvin???!!! I've lost all love for the MLB becuase of their last strike..... BUT I know Texas needs pitching...BAD. That rediculous contract could've been used for 3 players...2 good pitchers AND a reunion with Juan Gonzales. He gets rid of Gonzo over money but dishes out 1/4bil for Alex Rodriguez???!! As long as Melvin is the GM and Oats is the coach, Texas will NEVER win the World Series.
