Everything looks good except for your 60'. Get that around a 2.00 and you'll be a lot quicker.

How many miles on your truck? These trucks don't start reaching their potential until they have at least 7,000 miles on them. Did you "drive it like you stole it" from the start or baby it? Babied trucks are always slow.

Noelvm....

I only have 2300 miles on it. That may be the problem if what you are saying is correct. I hope really hope so. I would hate to have gotten one of those "built after a holiday week-end and nobody wants to be here working" trucks. But I definatly don't baby it driving. The girlfriend always is always worried about the way I drive, but I simply tell her that "this was the way these were made to be driven" Don't think she believes me, but hey, it sounds good to me.

So what you are saying is that I have to make a trip to say Cali and back to get her broke in?

Fordsales.....feel like meeting up? Looks like I got some driving to do!!!

Mine ran 13.7's in June w/600 miles on. By Sept. it was 13.5's. Oct. and cooler air got me in the 13.2-13.3 range. By this time I had 10k miles on it. The only mod the whole time was a chipenfilter.

Thanks for all the good advice guys. If I have any money left after Christmas, I think I'd like to treat myself to a chip and maybe cat-back exhaust. Still trying to decide with one. But at least I have a baseline to go off of. Thanks again.

I wonder how I will do if I get good traction.

That was at 17k miles, no muffler, no chip and 3 sandbags.

Although most trucks are very consistant when new,Your 60ft needs improvement. In the right air you should be in the 13.8-13.9 with good 60fts.Dont expect any greater while stock for 2 reasons.

1. Most (2000) trucks run 13.9 outof the box

2.while stock,Your times are not going to greatly be affected by minor wheelspin until you modify it.

White 2000SVT-
My 1999 with 5000 miles in 90+degree Fla weather with these mods ran 13.9s-14.1s.
AAD HOOD
ARE LSII w/wing
(right there is an extra 165 lbs)
Added a:
PSP 4-way chip
PSP FILTER and
Ran 13.30s added 4.10s
ran 13.10s
took out 4.10s added Bassini exhaust, Throttle Body, Better race programs, Caltracks ran 13.08s
Add some very good weather and:
12.77 @ 105.80 w 1.80 60ft 8.15 @ 85.61 mph 1/8.

It all depends on how far you want to take your Lightning down "the infamous mod route"?

Actually lightningquick- the exhaust DOES need some work. Not the whole exhaust unless you plan on playing in the 12.40s to 12.70s sand box (where you are searching for anything that will give you another .10tenth.) then the whole system would benefit. FYI- The lightning specific exhaust system is quite adaquit to about 400 hp EXCEPT for the CATALYTIC CONVERTORS which were taken out of Fords parts bins on the std 5.4-F150 line.
THAT SHOULD BE CHANGED!!
As far as Sals chips, yes I had to wait for mine. I considered his 1 man after work business operation and concluded that it wouldn't be like off the shelf other manufactures chips, but his trucks always ran faster and harder then anyones elses from Day 1, s-s-s-o-o-o, in my opinion, "THE WAIT WAS WORTH IT FOR THE TIMES I AM TURNING, NOW!!!"
IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW FAST YOU WANT TO GO!!!
I post my times because I am proud of what Sal @ and PSP has and is still doing for me.Period!!

Nice times....I would love to be running in the 12's someday, but I doubt that I could wait to receive anything from Sal. I tried for months to get his filter set-up. Then right when I was about to get a Pro-M from BaBolt, I found someone who was selling a used PSP set-up. So, I went with it. I will probably get a Superchip with the R-9 program ...it seems to get pretty good reviews around here. As for the cat-back, I'm not sure yet. Steeda sells the Bassani set-up, and they are minutes away from my house, so I'm leaning towards that.
