Post Spark Plug Question

Hello all..

Has there been any decission made as to what is the best spark plug for the " L " ?

I see some are using the NGK and other are using the Splitfires..

I know there is much debate about gapping aswell..

Any suggestions or recomendations would be appreciated..

Much thanks..

I found some really good spark plug info on a page called 'Chuck's Lightning Page'. I'll try to find the URL for it...

NGK V-Power TR 6. NGK says gap should be be 0.044". Danny Swanson says that's too big, mine are gapped at 0.040, runs fine.

Cool

Big Poppa,

If your not going to run nitrous go with the Splitfires. I've had mine gapped between .048" and .042". I really can't tell any difference. I would just gap them at.044". What you will notice is a big difference in throttle response.

I have had the tr6's on order from the local parts store for over a week now and this morning I find out they can't get them. I just spent the last hour studying the NGK catalog and came up with a # that I'm gonna try. It is NGK BR7EFS. Doesn't have the projected nose like the TR6 (which is good for a supercharged application and very good for blown and nitroused) Can't wait to get them in.
