REPENT! THE END IS NEAR.
Although i do not agree that Al Gore would be the greatest president.I do not think BUSHWACKER would be even as good.My choice is niether but i will say i voted for GORE.
I read the other post about him and did not reply.this time i will speak my FRIENDLY opinion.
Clinton has actually been a very good president. The economy is the best it has ever been,No wars, and he has done alot of what he claimed in his campain.I give the democratic party the thumbs up for bringing the economy where it is!Remember what happened with the last BUSH!!?? Enough said.
If Bush gets in three MAJOR things are goint to happen.
1.The economy is ready to fall,Bush will give it enough push to make sure it happens.
2.A WAR will happen in the next 4 years.
3.Nice girls like Monica will no longer be needed therefore even more people will be out of work.
I think for tradesman and self employed people,Gore is the main choice. That is because WE count on the economy to be our base for our financial future.Average working americans would mostly vote Bush.THEY ARE THE ONES WHO WILL BE BITCHEN THE MOST WHEN THE ECONOMY ACTUALLY DOES ***** THE BED!When you work for other companies,You have NO choice when the economy crashes,You are out of a job!It might be hard for tradesman, self employed but we know it will get better and we do so on a gradual besis as the economy comes alive. Others go from making 70k a year to $8 an hour at Walmart struggling to feed their kids.By the time you can get back into the money,Your whole life has passed you by.Ive seen this over and over.Believe it or not,My buisness does better when the economy is bad.You would think I would be a bush man but im not thinking for me,Im thinking for the rest of the country.I kinda hope the economy crashed. In the last 10 years,I have watched my home town values TRIPLE.Im not kidding.A home that was $70k has gone up ti $179K. Homes that were $179k are now $280K
I cant wait for the crash ,until then I cannot afford to purchase a home,I must continue to rent. This shows I am not being selfish about my opinion about Gore.A good ol Worls War will really do me some good ! LOL
Not your fault right????......................................... ...........................................WRONG,Y ou voted for bush!
I expect no mail bombs for this,This is just my opinion because I have nothing better to do on a friday night

Wonder why Gore didn't carry his home state?
BTW, thank God we didn't have a war. Read Blackhawk Down, gives a good picture of military operations Clinton style. Anyone catch what NASDAQ and Dow did after the two lower courts rejected Gore's case? They jumped WAY UP. Too bad the market was closed when FLA Supreme anounced their decision. Will be interesting to see what the market does monday. Long live Alan Greenspan (a republican appointee) At least Clinton knew what not to mess with! The economy will collapse when Greenspan goes. Glad I got my L beforehand... if Gore gets in, high performance vehicles will be outlawed for sure based on fuel consumption.

heres the direction we are going:
presidential quotes:
Lincoln: 4 score and 7 years ago....
Kennedy: ask not what your country can do for you....
Clinton: well,,,, it's not going to suck itself!!

War? in the next four years? Lightningquick what is your prediction for the next crisis? Not trying to badger but always looking for an opinion with a path. I am glad GW is on the road to be pres. I only feared gore in office for what he would probably do to the Marine Corps. Now I can look forward to some healthy raises the next four years. I wouldn't give clinton credit for the economy, I think Alan Greenspan had more to do with it.
The currently sitting president has about as much to do with the current economy as the man in moon. There is a lag effect between what an administration does and when their actions impact the economy. The Clinton/Gore economy should more correctly be attributed to Bush and the Bush economy to Reagan and so on. Also, no matter *who* is in office, there is a cyclical effect to the economy that tends to drift back and forth between growth and recession no matter who does what. Voting your "pocketbook" is usually based on a flawed premise, vote on the "issues".
The only real difference between GW & Gore: Gore speaks to people like THEY don't speak english, GW speaks to people like HE doesn't speak english!
Hey LQuick, this will be a very entertaining friday nite, thanks! Too bad you can't make the Boston Breakfast sunday. More get togethers to follow. BTW do you have any dealings with the Ford dealer in Manchester? There was a service writer there, Jason, who owned a Gen1 L. He's a big SVT fan, helped me out with my 98 F150 (lowered, 4.10s) before I got my L. Willing to help out, give cost on parts, etc...

I'd like to try a slightly different tack here. First, I voted for Bush. Not because I thought he was a great candidate or potentially a great President. As sometimes happens, I just do not like Gore. Not his attitude, his demeanor nor the sort of vision he seemed to have for us. Bear in mind, that I have voted for other Presidential candidates in the past that I also did not really like but I thought they had a good plan for the country. While I am probably a closet Republican, I still am registered as an Independent and split my voting tickets every four years based on the above criterea.
Where I am coming from on the Florida issue is that I cannot begin to understand how any Court can believe that there will be any recognizable standard for trying to determine, or perhaps "devine" is a better word, a voter's intention as to how they "intended" to vote based on the now famous versions of Chads in their various shapes and forms as they have come out of the automatic voting machines.
I am also very concerned that the logistics of these ballots having been cast, counted in some cases I think three times, put into some kind of storage unit and transported by truck some 400+ miles can in any way be represented as a ballot that one can reasonably interpret with any degree of accuracy as to what the voter intended.
If I can return to the standards issue for a second, this is something the courts have seemingly avoided like the plague. My arithmetic is surely faulty, but I believe that we will be faced with recounts in around 70 counties and maybe in the realm of 100,000 ballots and as far as I have read on the net and in the papers, there is not and will never be any kind of standard as to how to figure out what a voter intended.
Long post, but a long day too.
The sad part is that it may not matter too much who wins. The Senate is split 50-50 and the House is pretty much the same. There is no mandate for either candidate.
I find it hard to say this, but the last 6 hours have made me think that Bush might better be the one to concede and wait for 2004. Yesterday, I had hoped that Gore would have the presence to do this. Tonight, I think Bush might be better off to bow off-stage and spend the next four years figuring out how to build a program that would give all of us a clearer choice.
Whew!!!!

hey look what the stock market did under clinton vs republicans it almost tripled under clinton..
the national debt tripled under reagen and bush.
miltary cuts were put in place before clinton came in office.
who was to busy for vietnam heard all about clinton not serving but nothing about chenny or bush that's fine for rich not to serve.
where did a lot of middle class tax deductions go un reagen and bush? what's left are for the very rich.
how many permormance trucks did you have under bush.
W doesn't know when to get out of the rain. what happens when Chenny has a heart attack and dies. Bush has to play video games all the time.
What happened to the bushes driving records in texas 18 months ago? whats being hidden ?
what about a dead 15 yo boy?
all you reglious types are being taken for a ride with bush. he just used you.
same goes for gun fantics
guess where the seed stock for saddan's bilogical weapons came from ? I wonder whose family is supposted to own the company.

I'm a Democrat and I hate Al Gore. I also dislike GW Bush. I think either one will make a Crummy President. My biggest concern is that Bush will appoint Non Pro Choice Supreme Court Justices. This may set Womens Rights back 30 years. And the Justices don't go away in 4 years, they stay around for a long time. That is the only reason I voted for the Creepy Al Gore. GW is Dumb but he knows enough to appoint smart people around him like Reagan did.
