I'm looking for a metal (stainless?) braided hose (like a stainless steel brakeline), but large enough to fit over a 4 guage power wire. I recently put some stuff in my truck and the power wire (from the battery) runs damn close to my intake. In everyday driving this is fine, but at the track my intake gets VERY hot and I'm afraid I'll melt the plastic casing over the wire, causing a short.

Anybody know where I could find something like that? Do you think something like this would be enough to shield the power wire, or do y'all have any better ideas?

Summit and Jegs sell a hi-heat resistant fiberglass sleeve tubing in various ID's to cover plug wires,cables, etc. comes in red,blue,etc
