Cool ignition upgrade?

Was just paging through a Jeg's catalog and saw this from Jacobs Electronics. A new ignition box for distibutorless ignition systems. Says it connects to OEM connections in minutes with vehicle specific brackets.

They say "Testing shows impressive gains in HP, torque, and mileage. Safely drives factory coil packs and features acceleration spark technology, digital capacitive discharge and multiple spark."

Just wondered if anyone has tried this and wether it actually enhanced performance.

$290.00........remarks?

Question

Related question: Does anyone who if the L's ignition transistors are built into the coils or are they in the ECU?

Thumbs up

I have already went this route with every major manufacturer of ignitions just to try to get a tach lead to drive a tachometer. No one to date: MSD, Holley, Jacobs,Autometer,Ford Racing
makes a distributor-less ignitions for coil on plug ignition( not to be con- fused with distributor-less 2-4 coils on plug) nor a signal amplifer(but intend to SOMEDAY-What part of the month or year is SOMEDAY?)
Most asked me why do I want an after market ignition for a coil on plug when that is the best system to be had. I went Dah! Oh. I need a tach lead amplifed for installing a tach since the tach in the Lightnig is such low impedence that it won't register on a Std. tach.
Oh. Well. No Reliable tach in the L this year.
