haven't seen his headers in person but have heard some horror stories about the quality. i don't really believe the 50 hp either. does his headers have a fire cone? anyways i not getting after you just trying to warn you to be careful when dealing with him, he talks alot. here is a pic of my CFH headers.

notice how fine the welds are, steve pays so much attention to detail. these were made possible through the r&d work of BaBolt.

Question

Hey Nyt,
Did you dyno before and after the CFH's.
If so, what HP gain did you show?

I was going to get the CFH's, but just couldn't justify the expense/no guarantee of HP gain.

Plus, Holly and SHP are supposed to have them available shortly. (shortly has been 6moths so far)

Tim

I have also been talking to mike from lightning performence for about a year now and he said that he was going to make this headers along time ago. I haven't heard nothing from him in a long time though. It sounds like he knows what he's talking about, but I don't know anybody else with these headers. I've been waiting for a good set of long tube headers before I do anything and I didn't think anybody made any. What are CFH's. I haven't heard of that before.

tim, no i haven't had the opportunity to dyno these headers before or after. i just know that i've heard that lightning performance headers look like a set of $79 blackjacks. look at the pics of the headers above, awesome tig welds, a very nicely done fire cone, marmon clamps instead of 3 bolt flanges, attention to detail! they are a little spendy but true quality costs a little more. here is a pic of the fire cone.

and the clamp assembly. if you look at the outside of the collector you can see how the fire cone develops. CFH, Custom Fabricated Headers # is 313-537-4456

Man those are nice welds, you can tell someone did there homework.
Do they make a set of shorty headers?
If they do I bet they would be awsome
