Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing. I've heard from about three people that the Swanson chip is the way to go, but I'm still listening. Any advice from guys that are chipped?

Which one you choose is a very personal decision. You'll find extreme proponents of each on this board. The main point is that each tuner's chip has a different feel. Which you prefer is up to you. If possible, borrow a chip from someone near you and decide what you like.

Pick a chip, any chip

Someone needs to do a bi-annual (twice a year) test on these things, all be stripped of thier identifying marks, and run em at the track. Then when its all said and done, find out which one is the best in the 1/4 mile. Then they need to put different octanes of gas to find out which one pings the most, take grandma to church(for the shift-firmness), then top it off with a trip to the dyno, for those wanting that extra .5 hp. Then there's the cost factor, which rarely gets brought up on this board...dont worry I know why. Last but not least, it has to be able to please the wife, somehow, anyhow, just make it shiney w/ a label saying "Will take years off in just seconds" or something, for the married folks that need to ask why they have to have it.

Thats my opinion. And thanks for reading it.

I have the superchip R9 program the chip has been flawless. My best time is 13.18 @ 104 just remember the filter is very important. I had the chip and the pulley and could only manage 100 mph i added the filter and went 104

Everyone has their opinion on this question.

I went with the PSP.... filter and 4 way chip on my 2000 Bolt. In the heat of the summer it was a dog at the stip until I used the 4 way chip and filter. Cut a full second off and hit 13.5 @102mph but the stock tires would not hold for a decent launch. I like what I got and the wait was worth it when dealing with PSP.

How about a 80MM PRO-M MAF with a Swanson Chip. Look in the classifieds.
