Angry Crappy day

Well I was having a pretty good day on friday until I was driving home on Rt.64 and someone threw something out of their window in front of me. I couldn't swerve out of the way in time and it hit the front corner on the drivers side with a loud thump. I think it was a shoe but I am not sure and I also wasn't sure exactly which car it came from so I didn't want to go crazy on some person who doesn't know what is going on.

Well anyways, I have three huge black scuffs and a big dent on the top corner of the fender by the hood. I knew my truck would eventually get scrached or dinged, but not like this. I haven't had it for a month and a half. I just hit 2000 miles when it happened too.

Sorry so long but I had to vent. I have felt like crap all weekend everytime I looked at it.

Thumbs up

The word I get from my dealership is wait for the '03s. STRONG possibility for DOHC 5.4. By then, I will have graduated and found a job (hopefully) so I can trade in the 00 for a new one.

BTW-If you are looking for an easy color to clean, don't get black. It looks damn sharp when it is all shined up (why I got it), but it takes about a day and a half to make it look that way and will only stay clean for about 2 days.

Sorry to hear about the dent, the black should come off though.

I don't know if you ever had a black vehicle but, to me it's much harder to keep clean!

My first car was an 88 bmw 325is and it was black. The L is my first white car and I think the white is harder to keep clean. Swirl marks and stuff show up easier on black though. I still like both colors but I will probably go with a black one next time. It looks more agressive.
Take Care,

Darryl

Wink

Just take that as a hint and get the rest of the truck painted black...the fastest color.

Seriously, sorry about the ding. I know EXACTLY how you feel. I did a number to the front valence and the sway bar bracket about 2 months after I got the truck. A little out of the "mod pot" and you can clear it right up, though.

I remember before I bought the white L, I looked at three black ones for msrp and the color was okay, and then I got the white one brand new for real cheap. About two weeks later, I saw a black one all nice and polished and I was like DAMN!!! I shoulda got black! (hope my wife doesn't see this) If I upgrade to a new one in two or three years if they still make them, it will definately be black.

Dont get me wrong though, I love my mine. It's just a bitch to keep clean.
