How bad is your tranny? I will be doing the tranny deal in a couple months. Right now it just doesnt want to shift 1-2 at WOT. Infact, at the track with a good bite and WOT the tranny wont shift unless you lift and then its a slow soft shift. I have a tune and a level 10. It has been getting worse since last summer. I can drive it normally and it will still shift hard at part throttle. The 2-3 shift is OK even at WOT. I figure to use the LFP rebuild kit and a new converter.

What kind of damage was done your tranny? I am just wondering because I dont want to damage mine worse than what I can fix with a rebuild kit.

When I was at his shop in the fall he was putting in 2 trannies for customers. I havent heard of any problems......I just cant get them to ship my traction bars out...Back order.

No, sorry not the Tranny. I may have been confusing. I have the valve body from JLP....It shifted good for a while but now its impossible to race at the track. I emailed Gregg at factory tech about a month ago but never heard anything. I think its the valve body but I am not real sure.

I heard that JLP is switching tranny suppliers due to Level10 being a bunch of crooks and not standing behind their product, but as they say, there are two sides to every story. I know of one trans that was bad right out of the box and Level 10 said nothing was wrong with it and charged 300 bucks for their trouble and told the vendor that he had to arrange and pay for freight back to him even though he bought it from JLP and not Level 10.
I'm glad my HD's trans is holding up, but when it goes I will be getting a BTS and avoiding all the drama.

Later...

Bruce
