130 more hp, eh? That would be 390hp right? I find it hard to beleive that it would add that much. But then again, I am sure Ford designed our engines on the safe side for minimal warranty claims. Could it be the Holly Thunder?
I need to go look at my latest Muscle Mustangs...they have a small write up on that blower. Maybe it would fit the 5.4 on my '00 Expedition. Can't see why it wouldn't bolt right up.
I've been looking at the Magnusen (Magnacharger) blowers for these. Total Performance Solutions got 63rwhp/66rwtq out of a 6psi Magnacharger...and once they added the K&N intake system, these figures rose to 80rwhp and 83rwtq. That's pretty darn good, IMHO.
Since the regular 5.4 has 9.5:1 CR, I think 5-6psi is plenty when running on 93 octane gas...especially with the load of something that a truck/SUV engine must move.

The big difference is that the Holley blower is 142 Cu. Inch, & ours is 112"! The GTP pontiac is 90" So thats a lot more capacity. Should fit right on the Expedition too. Lloyd

I got the Holley Thunder kit sitting in my shop right now. Complete with intercooler and everything costed $5295. We're setting it up on my brothers F250 4X4 Supercab one of these weekends if I ever find the time. It's a really sharp looking kit, chromed and polished. I have been tempted to throw this in my lightning just to see what it does, only thing poking my @ss is I wouldn't be looking forward to tuning the S.O.B once I did install it.
Myself, I think there was some inside trading going on when Ford put that Eaton into the Lighting. Just by overspinning it with the smaller pulley, anyone can see that there's alot more power left to grab from the engine than that Eaton's willing to put out. Someone definately got a pocket fulla cash outta that deal.
