Anything special needed to install AN fittings?

I just ordered the JDM fuel system and i'll be installing it here shortly. I was wondering if there was anything special i'll need to install this kit because it has braided SS lines and AN fittings. I've never dealt with AN fittings before so I'm not sure. Should I use teflon tape on the threads or not? Also, I've seen some special adjustable wrenches before that I guess are suppose to be made for AN fittings. The ones I saw were anodized blue and red. Are these needed or can I use a plain old crescent wrench? As always, any info is appreciated.

no sealants are necessary with AN lines and fittings, and if you dont use the AN specific wrenches you risk damage to the fittings where as the AN specific wrenches are aluminum and will not damage the fittings.

No tape, and use a cut-off wheel to cut the lines. I use fitting a wrench to tighten

You can use a dab of lube IF you can't get the fitting on and secure.

Just don't forget to blow some air through the line when your done.

I use Russell assembly lube. It just makes everything fit together easier.

You also want to use electrician's tape where you are going to cut. Cut right through the tape, then remove it right before you install the outer nut (keeps the braid from fraying and cutting your fingers).

Put the fitting in a vise and push the hose into the fitting. Don't try to push the fitting into the hose.

For NPT-to-AN connections, I use Russell thread sealant.
