I have to reply on this. They're pretty neat looking, but 40k is TOO much. I'd rather buy an original show-quality '55-'57 model. Those are awesome head turners that only go UP in value.

Here's my thoughts,I love the car,but I hate the price. Okay let me repeat that,I love the car,but REALLY hate the price!! I'm still trying to figure out how they got $40,000 for them? I do wish I was rich enough to buy won for my grandfather because he loves them. I did however buy him a 1/18 scale model car of it for Christmas, hope that'll do.

Cool

I read somewhere that when they put the orders out for the 200 Neiman Marcus Edition T-Birds to be out this Christmas it was completely sold out in something like 15 minutes...might be a little demand for them.

When my wife wants something hi dollar I ask, "At $40,000 of after taxes paid dollars - that's nearly a year earlier that I could retire. Would you feel good driving this car if you knew I had to get up early every morning, work all day for a year and all we had to show for it was your year old car? Would you love that car enough to trade a year of my life?"

I'd also appeal to her sense of financial prudence: "To get $40,000 I would have to earn $55,000 before taxes. That's $15,000 lost. The taxes and license would be $4000. Now we're up to $19,000. When you sell the car in three years it will have lost $16,000 in value. That's a total loss of $35,000! Is it worth throwing $35,000 in the fire to have this car? Wouldn't you feel a lot better about yourself if you were to give something to a charitable cause?"

Now, see my reply to why I ordered an L...
