Cool

clonetek -

Man, you'll never save up enough money for wheels if you keep buying all that extra stuff. Sweet looking bed cover.

I do need to replace my Mickey Mouse ear mirrors, though. I think I'll go shopping.

i'd buy some 20 inch rims if they were painted silver.

i bought the street scene power mirrors. they are going to be painted tonight.
wasn't planning on getting them, but they were so cheap i had to jump on the deal.
(thanks rtkilla)

more pics of the cover. i guess someone will look at them.. doesn't seem like anyone likes it. (only 1 post)

Thumbs up

I like it, but will the hydraulic supports hold the extra weight of the wing? At WFC last year, someone had a cover like yours but had to use a broomstick to prop the lid open. Individual case or are they all like that? When you get the mirrors put on, please post a pic. I'd like to see something besides our "extra bigs" on the L. Thanks!

the hydraulic supports hold the cover up very well.. i'm glad it has the strap hanging down, i have to pull pretty hard to make it come down. it shoots up fast too, hold the strap.

RTKILLA has a set of the mirrors on his '99L

sorry about the size.

(i call the stock mirrors "bicycle helmets", RTKILLA calls them mickey mouse ears) lol

cant wait till i get time to do my stereo stuff.. i'm gonna blow ya'll away..

Looks pretty cool, but i'd stay away from areas where skateboarders, roller bladers, cyclists, hang out. they could get some serious slalom action going, coming over the top of your roof.

Clonetek,

Like that cover. Johnny L's is nearly exact, if not the same. Looks great on silver.

It would be really trick to rig the brake light on the cover with sequential LEDs that lit up in direct coorelation with your tach. That way, the Struckee can watch from afar....

Just my $.02
