buying lightning, need tire help

hey guys I currently have a 2002 mustang gt with minor bolt ons and im trying to sell it to get a '00-'04 lightning. i have 315 nitto drag tires in the back, they were obviously kinda expensive... will these fit the stock lightning rims? I wasnt sure how wide they were. thanks...

I think the 305/45/18s are pushing it on the stock rims. Not sure if a 315 will bulge too much.

I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Good luck on getting an L.

On the OEM L wheel I'd go no bigger than 305's, I know theres a L running an OEM Viper wheel package, thats a 335 but I know dam well the wheels are wider than 9.5 inches.

295/45/18's are stock for lightnings. 315 wouldnt be a probem I dont think, but I would worry abou thte sidewall being too small and looking rather wierd. Im sure you didnt have a 315/40/18 on ur mustang. Maybe you did though, if so it would work im sure.

ah come on man spring for some 22's if your gonna go with an L. but yeah 315 sounds to big for the stock wheels since 295 is recommended. Im sure you could get away with a 305 but that does you no good
