Question Looking for hole in firewall...

I'm looking for a hole in the firewall to run some wires for my speaker hook up from the battery. Is there one on the pass. side (pref near battery) that I am missing or what? I know there is one on the driver/center of the firewall, but that looks a little out of the way.

I ran one off the distrubution box (on the firewall), I ran it through the wire conduate (across the top of the fire wall, near the cowl) to the boost tap grommet, and into the passenger compartment.
Although this is the drivers side, I thought it was the best way.

Thumbs up

I wound up using the one on the driver's side. I just drilled a hole in it and greased up some 4 guage wire so it'd slide through. Worked great.

FYI - I finally got everything hooked up and it sounds great. I only went with 1 JL 10" (on a RF 360) and kept the factory highs (on a RF 120). They aren't bad, but I'll probably wind up replacing them after the chippenfilter mod. I'm not much into bass and stuff, just loud stuff on the highway or wherever, so I'm completely pleased. Thanks for all of y'all's help.

Another spot that worked for me was to remove the computer, pull my power wire through the easy-to-reach hole, and re-install the computer. Since it has a large rubber seal, and it was a single, 6 guage wire, it worked pretty good. It also worked out well to hide behind all the stuff on that side on its way to the battery. I've also used the distribution box before on my '92 F150.

Cool

Look under the threshold trim piece. There is a channel that has a couple rubber grommet type plugs. I used the one closer to the front and pulled the wire beneath and behind the battery. Just punch a hole in the plug..pull your wire. I tie wrapped it along the frame. Worked well I thought, plus no DRILLING...

I ran mine from the battery, to the wiper cowl... under the cowl up near the passenger door... down the door crevice, and into the wiring boot that leads into the passenger compartment for the door wires. This worked great, because there is NO drilling, and its really easy to access.

My PPI 75 watt per channel main amp is located behind the passenger kick panel, So this was ideal! I then continued the cable under the door threshold trim, to underneath the passenger seat, for my crossover and mono bridged 600 watt sub amp.
