HORNS WIN!!! HORNS WIN!!!
That's okay, Jerry. Y'all basically took us out behind the woodshed and made us pick our own switch.
I was really impressed with with the freshamn. Roy has talked a lot of trash this past week, but that's okay when you back it up (unlike Lewis's mouthing about Toombs...our only "victory" of the day).
Now that the rivalry is back in full swing with no distractions (Ricky in 98 and Bonfire in 99) maybe we can keep on having fun. <Holding up a beer in salute> Here's to a renewed rivalry and a lot of trash talking for the next year!

Not a pretty sight, unfortunately.
Thankfully, there is almost always a next time.

Yea me 2---still smarting from that FSU win. Yes I know, the best team won, but I don't have to like it. Wait till next year. And remember, the national championship goes through the state of Florida, even though they can't vote worth a crap.

Who got screwed......the Canes......or Washington.
Guess I should wait until Monday to see how the Canes are ranked, but if FSU is still #2, I guess the fact that we beat them head to head matters not. Same deal with Washington though....only loss the Canes had, yet we are ranked ahead of them.
Good State of Texas game though!

Ya, it does not seem right when one team is ranked lower than a team it beat, until you think about it.
The pole is set up to pick the best overall team. For example, if team A went 1-9, and team B went 9-1 with its only loss to team A, I don't think you would argue that team A is the better all around team. Obviously, team A was better on one particular day, but overall, team B is by far the superior team. In theory, that is how the ranking system is suppose to work, but I am not convinced that it always picks the best team. I would much rather prefer a playoff system. Hell, can you imagine if professional baseball picked its champion this way. The Atlanta Braves would clearly be the winner, even though they continuously choke during the playoffs!!
