I asked how to get the "service engine soon" light to go off. Removing the battery cables for 20 minutes as suggested worked. The terminals needed cleaning also. My truck is a 2004 Lightning with AOD transmission. Thanks.

 

Glad the light went out, but it's more than likely going to come back on if you didn't scan the code and fix the issue.

If you're stock (no chip or tune), if the light comes back on, take it to Autozone. They'll scan it for free so you knows what's up.
