If not food there, it'd be great for it to be a place that not only can we have a car show, but also go to dinner. Or lunch at a resturant. IF you need help Matt. Send an E-Mail my way, always willing to help out. And I should have my 2001 by then, so Yippie!!!!

SB is a great place, some good locations, and good food. Since you suggested SB, what about possibly San Luis Obisbo?? Possibly. It's also real nice down there.

P.S., I think it would be also great for the next CSM, to be also a cruise, to where we can all caravan somewhere, and have people gwaking at all of the nice Lightnings, Corvettes, Mustangs and Camaros, and whatever else shows up. Also, I'd be great for some SVT Contours to show up. I know of a few out here, so I'll pass the word around.

Matt, What about renting a road-race track for the day? Thunderhill Raceway (north of sacramento) and Willowspings Raceway / Streets of Willow (north of LA) are available for rent.
Then those who want some track time can do that, those who want to hang, can do that too.

I haven't thought about doing the track thing... would cost a lot, and people would have to pay for it.
SLO is farther north then Pismo, so all the SD stangs would probably be out of the question.
Right now it looks like Santa Barbara!
Please submit more ideas!

How about Trona? J/K.
If June, then it needs to be on the coast, central enough so that it is convenient to both No. and So. Cal. I enjoyed the caravan, thought it was the best part of the deal. Pismo will probably be booked up in June. I nominate Morro Bay. We need enough notice to book reservations. We should also definitely have a group dinner.

Jim,
Tell your wife I thank her for the compliments.
George,
I like the Morro Bay idea. I will check it out.
Tryin to make a decision soon so I can reserve a park for us and get all the permits and what not.

Hey guys,
Working on plans for the 2001 California Speed Meet, to be held sometime in June.
This meet is going to be an actual car show and have food too!
I need ideas for locations to have the meet. Thinking about moving it down south a little bit so all the SD guys can make it out.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Matt
