i dont know if anyone allready knew, but i asked the guy on the phone at svt about ownership certificates for people who bought them used...

if you bought a lightning, (gen1 or gen2) and need a certificate, you have to fax or mail a copy of your registration to svt.
call 1-800-ford-svt (3673-788) to get the fax number or address.

 

Last year they sent them auatomatically tro the address of record after the production run was finished. The process you described is required for 2nd buyers and stuff but I had hoped they would automagically send them. All I get in texas is a Registration sticker, I dont think I have anything faxable

Call and see if they will accept a copy of your insurance card. It has all the appropriate info (at least mine does).

Call the leinholder (if applicable) and ask for a photocopy of the title.

Sorry to intrude on a 2000 thread...

 

I called today and was told they might not be correct. mine was built on march 10th. i said how come everyone has theirs. They said only some are correct. I talked to matt.

 

DOB feb 21,00 397/4966 picked up truck 3/8/00
born on a Monday.I heard some where that vehicles built on Mondays and Fridays seem to have a higher rate of problems.It would be interesting to know if that is true.
