The new lights are the only thing that I like on the new lightning beside the hp increase. I was just wondering if it was possible to swap those new lights on my 99 lightning. If so are they released about the same time as the new lightning comes out. Thanks

 

you might be able to....im not sure about the mounting pattern or if the grill has changed shape..
but you can see
But you can always make something fit, it just takes work (and they said i couldn't put that 454 in the MGB, HA!)

no I havent orderd, & here is why. Take a look @ the online store headlights, see how the bulbs are exposed? Now go take a look @ a newer car that has the "clear" headlamp assembly, see how the bulb has that meatal guard (in front) around it so you really cat see it, helps reflect the light back onto the back part of the reflective part (spreads the light better, I think). That is what I am going to wait for the 01 lights to come out, also the $$ that thay are asking is kinda pricey for me. I stopped by a Ford dealer today to inquire about the new lights, he only had the 01 fogs listed---$70ea, ouch, hopefully I will be able to replace mine under warranty, good luck

 

Yes Yoda, I see what you mean.....I thought that the online light was in fact a projector style fixture like the newer vehicles have. The online lights look like they will atract the attention of the police since they are so direct. The wait goes on

I hope that there are plenty in the Ford parts system when they finally get released as I am sure that alot of people will want them
