Well we had a good turnout of Lightnings today! Lightstruck was there with his 2000 White L, Carolina Lightning was there with his 99 Red Lightning, his dad had a 1st generation White Lightning, there was a 99 Black Lightning (guy driving was named Arthur), and myself.
Arthur's Black L was the fastest - 12.89 @ 110. He had a lot of cool custom work with air induction. He has the standard mods plus a new one I'm not supposed to talk about....haha. Let's just say he went 13.10 @ 106 and then went the above time...ya know what I mean?
My 2KRedL was 2nd with a 13.13 @ 106 with a 2.06 60 foot time!!!! Let's just say the Superchip R9 and Airaid work! Far cry from the 13.94 bone stock time. Weight was 4690 with me in it and 1/4 tank of fuel. Tire pressure was 32 psi and the air was a brisk 40 degrees by my in cabin temperature gauge.
Carolina Lightning went a 13.64 @ 102. Weight was around 4800.
LightStruck went a 13.69 @ 101, this truck is bone-stock 2K White L!! This was his first time at the track too! Weight was 4915.
His dad's 1st generation went some 14.80's.
Too bad all the guys couldn't make it. Maybe next time.
My best 60 foot was a 2.06 and my worst was a 2.22. I ran a best of 13.13, then 13.17, then 13.37, and finally 13.50. Best mph was 106 and worst was 104. I had slight detonation at the top of 2nd and drive. I put 112 Unleaded Racing gas in it (1.2 gallons) and this hurt my mph and ET. No more detonation though!

Interesting, since the top of drive is around 120-125MPH. Am I missing something? Nice runs BTW.

4DR Thndr - At around 4500 rpm I noticed a slight ping in second gear up to 5600 rpm (where my tach shows anyway), then in drive around 4500 rpm up to about 5200 rpm when I let off after crossing through the traps with my speedo at about 118 mph. I'm stoked either way as I never thought 13.teens would be possible with everything stock besides the chip and filter! Yes I held it past the 1/4 mile...I was trying to see what 120 on our speedo's looked like! Glad we have good brakes!! :-)
