Question Sixpipes, Who did your magnaflow?

Sixpipes,
I live in Richardson, Tx and have decided that I'm going to try the Magnaflow 12568 or 14568(stainless). Where did you purchase the muffler? Who did your installation? Anything else that I should know, helpful hints, etc.?

Thanks,
Mark

Mark -

I purchased my Magnaflow and had the installation done at Bobby Gentry's in Denton. My cost was $165 complete. Welds on the muffler were excellent.

I required him to use the ceramic tips, but in hindsite maybe that wasn't such a great idea because as someone on this board said, it looks like a "hack job" (I don't agree). Bobby does good work and using the stock hangers and exhaust tips kind of dictates the way the muffler is positioned etc.... Very functional and great position as they exit the side. My stock tips hung extremely low and he adjusted them exactly where I wanted. If you're considering going with stainless tips, I would definitly have it done at the same time.

The muffler was $95.00 and the installation $70.00. Great sound, not overly loud.

Question

Do you have any pictures from the side and under your truck? You said that you purchased the muffler, was it directly from Magnaflow?

I was on my way out the door, helmet in hand, to the autocross last Sunday, but then I thought, I've autocrossed in the rain before and didn't really enjoy it, so decided to go get breakfast instead.

I purchased the muffler through the shop. Bobby is actually the one that sold me on the Magnaflow. Pictures at my Zing site.

Autocrossing in the rain; I can scratch that off the list of things I've done it at least once. That's all I have to say about it.
