I am asking for opinions.. in MY thread.. If you don't want to give your opinion, don't post. If I wanted to search non-interactivly, I would use google.. I am sick of people saying "Use The Search Button" I could care less about what somebody posted 5 years ago, as it has very little to do with me right now.

Most people try new things every day... What I am interested in, is the advise of somebody that has gone through the process exactly or as close to as I am going right now, and want to know what they think at this moment in time where I should go from here... Thats all...

I have searched... and I have not found answers I like reguarding other peoples setups... Thats all...

What you are doing is EXACTLY the same as HUNDREDS if not thousands of others have done and posted about on this forum since 1999. 700,000 posts in the Lightning section of this site. The reason that the suggestion to use the search was offered is that there is a TON of good information just waiting for you. BUT you have to work for it. Your profile says you work in computers, searching here should be a piece of cake

If you had searched you would have learned that hundreds of people have been disappointed with RPM outlet. I wouldn't run an RPM outlet tune on my truck if you paid me to do it.

If you had searched you would have learned that 450 on a stock block is pushing it.

With your attitude I doubt that people that actually have good information to share will be knocking down your door to help...

Alright, 450 hp is the "magic" number for the stock block. It has been agreed by many as the limit. Like said before some are pushing it to 500+ like Hostile.

If you dont want a whipple or KB down the road get your eaton ported from steig. That and an upper pulley, plus a JL upper intake and a throttle body maybe will get you in the 450hp range. Hell you might be able to do it with the ported eaton alone.

No such thing, pal. These are all OUR boards.

And if anyone can claim ownership, since I have nearly 500 times the number of posts, they are 500 times more MINE than YOURS. So stop asking stupid questions on MY board.

Then you would be a fool. For this Lightning-specific topic, this is the right place to search.

Let's see. You have 14 posts here. So you must be getting people telling you to search in other forums.

Maybe you should listen to them.

You mean you couldn't care less.

This is a lame excuse. When someone has gone through exactly the thought processes that you have, and the technology has not changed, which it hasn't, then the result will be the same each time.

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” -- Albert Einstein.

Make all the excuses that you want, but my money is on just too lazy to do a search.

Wow, welcome to the forum. If people didn't come here and ask questions that some of us already know, this place would be awful boring. The search feature works for those that want to spend the time researching, and I have used it many times and found it to be interesting reading, but new members that would like to hear from those WILLING to give advise should not be criticized by those that are unwilling to help just because they are asking. And to our new member, don't get yourself worked up by some unwanted advice, most of the people here are great guys and are willing to help and ribbing is allowed. Maybe you could apologize to those that were offended and start over..........

Check out my signature, it will answer most of your questions.
The noise the S/C makes is nothing to worry about as others have said, it will get louder or 'worse' as you increase the drive ratio (larger lower or smaller upper pulley). This noise is common to the roots style superchager is completely harmless.

I would suggest your list of future mods should read:
Traction Bars, Ported S/C, electric fans, Slicks (DR's at least) if you don't already have them, then a TB-which will help throttle response, but do not expect an HP gain.

The traction bars were my first mod as I did not want to damage the Drive Shaft or rearend due to excessive wheel hop.

450hp is as close to the limit as I would push it, many have gone over; some have lasted and many more have blown a motor.
