Mercedes "Kompressor" Emblem
Has anybody thought about getting ahold of one or more of those wickedly cool Mercedes "Kompressor" emblems off one of the Eaton S/C SLK roadsters and putting it on their 'Bolt?
That just seems too cool to me. My wife has connections at the Mercedes collision center here in Cincy and I'm thinking about putting them on the lookout foor a badly torn up SLK which might be encouraged to shed a badge or two.
I'm thinking the one of the tailgate would look boss, and not too rice-y. Or perhaps one on the passenger airbag cover.
What do you think? That badging is BY FAR the best part of the SLK. Almost made me want one. Then I test-drove one and wondered where the blower went. The sales guy (one of our buds) told me "...it's great - they totally covered it up and muffled it so you don't even see or hear it...". Oh well.

And the difference between this and a riceboy putting SVT emblems on his mom's Windstar is ...?

Silver, I think he just meant it's "ricey" to add more badges, not what the meaning of the emblem is. I want to clean the look of my truck up by removing all the badges, but there are holes to fill, & Im not up to filling them in, sanding, repainting etc..... I to think it would be kinda ricey, but that's whats makes us all different!!! So "kompress" away. Some people will think it woll look cool.
I know I guy with a blown DOHC 4.6 in a T Bird and he has thoose badges on his 95 Cobra R look hood. I think they are too big and too much for the hood, but they might be neat on the tailgate of your L. It definitely beats those ugly Generic Motors SUPERCHARGED badges I see so many people putting on there cars that are not Park Avenues (the car I beleive the badges originally came from.) Those emblems are just plain ugly, well anyway.
Hey what if it was a Kenny Brown Windstar with a blower, could they get away with a SVT badge then??
Later,
Gabe

'Dog:
First: YOUCH!
Second: There is a difference. An "SVT" logo on a non-SVT vehicle is a simple misrepresentation. A "Kompressor" badge on a Lightning is technically appropriate, as "Kompressor" is German for "supercharger" and the Lightning is, after all, supercharged. Thus, by attaching said badge, one would be doing nothing more than proclaiming that the associated vehicle is supercharged, albeit in German. Get it? I see no fundamental difference between this and, say, attaching one of those little cutsey "Eaton Insode" stickers to the window (which is also technically appropriate, as said vehicle features an Eaton unit).
