Angry PAINT PROBLEM

Hey Everyone
It looks like I've got some type of paint problem with the L. Some body shops say it looks like rail dust but others don't know for sure, can not tell if it is something is up under the clear coat as well. It kind of looks like a metal flake paint job, did not notice it till just recently. One dealer has mentioned using something called fallout gel this is some type of acid, do not know if this would have any long term effect on the paint job. Does anyone know anything about this? I read in some other post about some L's had to be repainted what kind of paint problems did they have?

If it's rail dust you should be able to have the dealer(or yourself) use a clay bar to remove it. Make sure it's well lubricated(detailer) 'cause if it smears on your paint it's a pain in the *** to get off. Mequiars has one with a bottle of detailer for $10. It's a slippery lil' devil to hang on to and if you drop it on the ground sand imbeds in it ruining it. I just clayed mine prepping it for Zaino and it leaves the surface as smooth as glass. You might want to wash it with Dawn dishsoap first to remove the old wax before claying as the clay removes it anyway but the Dawn will make the job easier and then it'll be ready for some new wax.

Question

I am one of the owners having my Lightning repainted due to some kind of acid/chemical damage. Below are a few of my posts regarding this issue.

Thanks Guy's
I tried claying it with Mequiars it made it
a little better but still look's BAD. I seen in a post from Radarlove that talked about two L's that had to be painted in the Dallas area, does any one know what the problem was with those two.

Unhappy

Guys,
I am now unfortunatly a victim of the "acid rain" syndrom! I am up in the air weather or not to mention this to my dealer? It's only the hood that has this problem, should I or shouldn't I ??? It's not realllllly anoticable but it's there.

Ford will buff/detail your Lightning 1 time under the 12/12 basic warranty. They cover it under the industrial fallout catagory. They will not deny you. Let them try this first before you let them re-paint!
