When i received my mass air the hole for the sensor was sloppy. I pulled it off to notch a couple of rabbit ears to secure the sensor. When I looked inside the filter there was a staple hanging by a thread . Evidently the filter is in sheet form and 4 staples were used to complete the circle. None of the staples were closed and one was ready to get sucked into the engine. I used a needle nose to crimp the others securely. I would hate to think what would happen if a staple got into the engine. The admonishment is to check first knowing corporate America......Ken
