Lightning Trade went Sour

So last week I traded the lightning on a 01 cobra. Low mile car, gorgeous, so I figured what the heck. Anyways, 10 days later the dealership calls and says the financing fell through, we need the car back. So i take it back, made a scene of course, and got my truck back. Now, the detail beotch at the dealership stole all my speakers and amp. Also, the floor mats are gone. But on the other hand, they detailed the crap out of it and the engine bay has never looked so clean. It's a really ****ty deal all around. So I decided today to purchase my spring mods, so I bought a cervinis 3" cowl, a lowering kit, and the three gauges for my pod. Down payment money put to good use I suppose!

Never leave the dealership with a vehicle you don't own with a finalized contract. I never take a car out on "bailment" either. Keeps them from gaining leverage on you.

PS 2001 Cobra? What a downgrade

I would make the dealership replace whats missing. They should have never touched your truck if the deal was not done. Them taking your stuff is STEALING! make them pay for your loss.

Why would a dealer even let a vehicle go out the door without purchase approval????

That kind of thing happens all the time at Bill Heard Chevy here. I know a bunch of people they've done that to. If I had signed all the paperwork saying it was mine, I'd tell them to speak to my lawyer.

I'd make that dealership replace all your stuff. You'll get new stuff. Plus it is stealing, if they say no, call the cops. Don't let them get away with that.

Maybe this should be a wake up call to you that your credit isn't great and trading / modding vehicles might not be your best move.
