question about lowering shackles

i just got a 03 lightning and the first thing i want to do to it is drop it. it is pure stock. i just want it leveled out so it looks good but doesnt go bottoming out everywhere and i dont want to buy new tires or anything. would 4" shackles in the back be good enough? what do you guys think i should do

4" Shackles wont get it quite level (cause it'll only drop maybe 2")
BUT IT'LL DEF LOOK BETTER

It's an extremely easy install, very quick, and inexpensive, DEF DO IT.
In the future if you want it even lower just pick up some L Leafs from an earlier year and your good to go (or take a leaf out)

("Beware a few Brothers had to re-adjust the pinion angle, but most didnt")

For the biggest drop as you said everyone goes for the 4" (as they call it) shackles.
JLP has some nice shackles and lots use them

You can get the 2" Shackles as low as $40 but you need more than that.

The other way to go is like this (the first 3 items you see on this page)
59.95 + 64.95 + 129.95 this set up will drop you more (they claim 4-1/2")

Or Items 3 or 4
189.95 or 229.95

Why dont you ask someone to post some pic's with the JLP Shackles installed on a 03 and see of it's what your after, it's an easy install.

The only prob with RPM is they Fk up pretty much every order so

there isnt much of a difference between the 3" and the 4" as far as the actual drop, and funcionality. I personally would stick to a 3" hanger and if you still want more drop, then get different leafs or different hangers.
