Post Is water out of exhaust normal?

I never take my L on short trips, but yesterday I drove it for only a half mile and stopped. I noticed water dripping out of the exhaust in my garage. There were bits of carbon in the drippings leaving a little puddle of water with black bits of carbon in it. When rubbing a rag in the exhaust tip, it comes out very black. Is all that normal? Thanks

Yes, water or condensation(sp.) on short trips I haul cars for a living and they all do it. The old cars with steel muffs and pipes would rust from it so now they make them out of alum. or stainless steel. Most muffs have a small hole in them to let the water drain. I know there is nothing worst than water on the back of your neck on a cold morning.
