John, we hope to have a new complaint form available by sometime next week
addressing this very concern.

whitelightnin' - keep us posted on this. I don't check the BON site very often but I will be sure to post there when they start asking about this.

Please let me caution everyone about this...

Before expecting miracles from the BON site, please recall their one-sided, anti-Ford agenda from the past. A glance at their current articles makes it appear to me as things have changed much of late, so I want to say to everyone to use common sense before relying on them as a potential fix for your problems. Could they do some good, perhaps? Would I rely on it? Nope.

Whitelightnin', We the chapters of the site not allowed to be mentioned here on ONLINE for "competitive reasons" would enjoy you bringing this information to our Forum. If you are not informed on our site please don’t hesitate to contact me since our site name has been censored here on f150online. Power is wonderful huh?!?

Well, it looks like my comments were misinterpreted here. I am in no way belittling the problems you are having, nor am I saying that Ford does not have a responsibility to repair the problems.

All I am saying is that you should not expect miracles out of BON if you simply fill out their online form. Take a look at the history of the that site. Lawsuits and Ford-bashing have been the raison-d'etre of that site, so consider when you utilize it to get your problems resolved, you may not get the most sympathetic response from Ford. Remember, neither this site, nor BON are affiliated with Ford Motor Company.

That's all I am saying. I'm not trying to squash free speech or prevent you from posting on BON. By all means, please do so. Any public forum that can bring problems to light, whether they be Lightning or otherwise, is a good thing.

Oh, and it the hornet's nest of controversy that BON has stirred up over the past couple of years that makes me worry that Ford will shut this site, and similar sites down, in a heartbeat if they choose to.

Steve

whitelightnin',

Cut back on the caffeine. Steve is just trying to offer a little history and background so that the members here have correct expectations. While there may be a little competition between the sites the facts are that any INTELLIGENT person considers the source of any information. I have registered issues on that site and I think the idea of a central place to collect anecdotal info is a great idea. But untill the NHTSA gets the data and verifies it it wont mean much. Look at the Firestone issue, Ford did nothing with the issues that cropped up in South america and Saudi Arabia until they were forced to.

As to the Freedom of speech comments, I wont speak for Steve but I know my Ford related site has been surfed by Ford Corporate and I also know that I cannot afford an attorney to protect your version of free speech. I would have 2 choices shut down the site or change the content in question. All that could easliy be started by a pissed off stroke of the pen in Michigan

Doug

Excuse me Mr. President! "ONE-SIDED ANTI-FORD AGENDA?" Well you answered my question. You obviously DO NOT OWN A LIGHTNING PICKUP. I do not appreciate your obvious attempt to undermine the responsibilty that Ford Motor Car Company has toward its consumers! BON is a forum, and just that. You are entitled to your opinions in this great country of ours! Here is mine. BON is in the progress of allowing consumers that own Ford vehicles to forward problems and potential "safety issues" in a modern time electronic format. Potential safety issues and intercooler problems that in the near future will cost not only the members of this board large sums of money, but you Mr. Moderator as a loss of revenue for "you" in a decrease ultimately in the reduction of monies available for "mod" items that you so dearly endorse. Come on. You better open your arms wide to "BON" because after the guys have to shell out thousands in parts and labor to repair supercharged Lightning vehicles it will cut into your bottom line. You "better" re think your priorities, SIRE! "MIRACLES" COME ON. I just want the auto manufacturers to step up to the plate. This is the true "MIRACLE" OF POWER in the internet. Hell, Mr. Moderator. You WOULD NOT EVEN BE HERE! Thanks for your support, none the less!!!

Another item Mr. Moderator. If I call you a "no good son of a binsky" why am I not allowed to delete my own post after "placing my foot in my mouth?" Never quite got this one...talk about an abuse in power!!!

Just to let it be known that post 806 was the last post of MUMBLY. Here is the reason.

-----------------------------------------

Buck/Mumbly,

It appears that you intend to only utilize the forums at F150online to
recruit users to F150world.com and continue to bash me and the way the
site is operated, as witnessed by the thread at https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/007229.html

I have decided to revoke your posting rights. Frankly, you have become
an incredible nuisance since the chapter controversy and I do not want
to deal with it any longer. If you a problem with this, please contact
me offline.

Regards,

Steve Eppinger

Well Mumbly, I've seen you jump out of the woodwork at every opportunity to say something about the other site and to say something bad about this one.

I have not seen a positive, constructive, or supportive post from you in ages. Instead, your sniping comes thru loud and clear.

Time to move on. Oh, wait. I told you that weeks ago. Oh well...

BTW, Buck/Mumbly/WatchDog/etal., publicly posting a private email without the permission of all parties is totally against nettiquette.
