Does anyone out there know of a 1/4 mile dragstrip within driving distance of Atlanta?
I live very near the Dallas, GA dragstrip, but it's only 1/8 mile. While in college in Fla I used to go to Orlando to the Street Nationals and got spoiled on 1/4 mile tracks - hell, a 1/8 mile strip is about like pulling out of my driveway!

The 1/4 mi Atlanta Dragway is located in Commerce. It's about 45 minutes from downtown Atlanta on 85.

If you want street races, come to Alaska in the summer.

Hey I moved from Atl about 1.5 yrs ago and unless they have changed it the dragstrip in Commerce,Ga on North 85 closes for the winter and doesnt open again till March or April. This blows and is one of the many reasons I moved back home where the strip is open year round at least 3 days a week!!!Desoto Dragstrip rules..

Sorry, this weekend is Atlanta's last race and it's all brackets. During their regular season, however, they have a weekly "Street Grudge Night" (Fridays I think) and from what I hear, they get a huge turnout.
Good luck finding a 1/4 mi track running T&T this late in the year. You could always come to Steele, AL. I'm not sure how far it is from Atlanta, but they run 1/4 mi TTs for street cars on Wed, Fri, and Sun and they SAY they will do so all year, weather permitting. For verification, though, I'd call 256 538 RACE to be sure they are running the day you plan to come. I know they get quite a few participants from Georgia. That's where I go to make 1/4 mile runs. You might also want to check with Montgomery Motorsports Park in the spring. That's about a 2 hr drive and the nicest 1/4 mi facility in AL. They had their last T&T night Nov 3 and this weekend is their last big bracket race of the season. I am headed down there in the morning.
