Which one. The one behind my seat is a Phoenix gold zx 450, thats for the speakers. The one at the bottom is a kivker dx700 digital amp My zx500 is in the shop. I have tons of stuff laying around from before. Doesn't hit as hard but, I get the 500 back soon.

RTKILLA,

What are the measurements of the box? You said .61 cubic feet, is that total or per sub? Also do you know how to figure out cubic feet when the top of the box is shorter then the bottom of the box? If you have a perfect square all you do is take width x height x length and then divide by 1728. I just don't know how to do it when you have a fourth angle.
Thanks for any help

John

RTKilla,
Very nice install and equipment.
Did you lose any legroom or comfort with the box? I'm 6'0' tall and curious!
Thanks,
Ryan

Hey, looks damn good. You willing to be so kind and build everyone one?? And if not everyone, then just me. Of Course, I'm going to have to wait for while before I can do anything to my L (once I get my L).

well the phoenix gold 450 is mounted under the box in a slot i made into the box. The Zx500 is under the passenger seat. This pic is of my Kicker dzx700 digital amp. the Zx500 is in for service but the amps are almost Identical. The kicker might be even a little bit bigger. I just pulled my jack out and put it in the back. This was the only way I could get the amps in there. You could Probably mount the other amp the same way as the zx450 but with a ten inch woofer when you put the seat back all the way the arm rest will hit the middle sub.

Yes my seat is all the way back. I'm 6'02 and I seat with It all the way back. What you have to do is cut the back pannels on the sides to make the box that much wider so you can get the right amount of volume. The only problem some of you might have is your back speakers. I don't have anymore backs. The box will come to close and block the sound. I put the two stiffner caps in the back speaker location, don't tell anyone though, thats a secrect, HAHAHA. Those back ones are uless anyway. I bought the Qforms for the front to add to the door speakers.

Not trying to knock the twelves but they really are uless in this truck, for two reasons. One the twelve inch woofer needs alot of room to expand and you all know that our trucks have no room. I've had a JL12w6, Alpine ZR100 and a memphis 12 in the truck and the tens sound ten times better. Pretty much anytime you go from a ten to a twelve you have to almost double the space you need for volume. Also a 12 has a much deepper mounting depth to it. I'm actually looking at doing a different setup in the truck. I have two Phoenix gold Xmaxs at home laying around, so I'm think of doing those in the center of the box and also doing two Xmax 8's on the ends. I don't know how this would sound but, I want to try it. The Phoenix gold xmax's take up very little volume. Less then any other sub I've ever seen. 8 inch can go down to .1 and a 10 inch can go down to .35. Thats tiny.

The boxes total volume is 1.83. .61 for each sub. Those are the w'3s. I used to have six 12w6's, so I like the w6's better but for some reason every shop I went to out by me said they don't make the w6 anymore. I wish they did. The w3's are suposed to be better though. I can't really tell. They do sound good. Damn rear view mirror keeps falling of. I glued the sh*t out of it this time. Does do anygood though, its alawys facing down. You get used to not using it after a while. later

There it is
